  • What are the common elements of the HOA?

    Bike Room/Bike Trails, Door Person, Elevator, Exercise Room, Storage Lockers, Outdoor Terrace, On Site Manager/Engineer, Security Door Locks, Service Elevator, Curbs/Gutters, Sidewalks, Street Lights, Street Paved

  • How do I dispose of trash?

    Each floor has a trash shoot. The trash rooms are located near the lobby of the buildings. 

  • What are the gym hours?

    The fitness centers are open 24 hours. 

  • I am going to move in. What do I need to do?

    If you have purchased or are renting, reach out to the management office to register your information and schedule a move.

    There is a non-refundable move in and move out fee to the building. There is also a refundable damage deposit.

    If you do not schedule a move in (or out), you can be fined.

  • Can I AIRBNB?

    No AirBnb or short term rentals permitted at this time. Contact HOA with questions. 

  • Can I rent a room to a roommate?

    Yes you can, but you should be sure to register your roommate with the management office to let them know.

  • What is the length of a lease?

    A lease must be 1 year in length. 

  • Does the HOA have cable or internet packages?

    No, the residents are responsible for their own cable/internet expenses.

  • How do I communicate with my neighbors?

    There are several ways to connect with your neighbors in person. You can also join the

    University Village Neighborhood Association (UVNA) group on Facebook.

  • What does the HOA do as a community?

    The HOA members hold many events in the area, including holiday egg hunt in the spring, 4th of July activities, fall fest, and food trucks on weeknights or weekends for residents.

  • Where do residents go to get food and groceries?

    There are 7 grocery stores within 1.5 miles of the buildings.

    There are also several local restaurants nearby to dine at or pick up carryout.

    Grocery delivery is another option. 

  • What do residents love about the area?

    Most residents do enjoy the proximity to downtown, Metra, rec fields, and all of the greenery in the area. 

  • Who is responsible for the roof?

    Contact management right away to inform them of any leaking. Leaks that occur can be from the roof, facade, or from your neighbor. 

  • I need a garage door opener. What should I do?

    Please contact your property manager, or the management company.

  • I lost my fob(s). What should I do?

    Contact the management company and they will have them turned off.

  • I locked myself out. What should I do?

    You should provide a copy of your key to management. In case of emergency, they can help you get in.

    You may contact a locksmith for after hour situations. The HOA does not have a preferred locksmith, but many use Mike G. He can be reached at (708) 769-5059.

  • How do I get packages?

    USPS mail will be delivered directly to your mailbox.

    Packages are stored in a secure package room on the ground level. Please correspond with the door staff if you need to pick up a package that has been delivered.

  • How do I get food delivered to me?

    Delivery drivers will typically call when they arrive and either leave your food with the door person on duty, or bring it to your door with your permission. 

  • Who is the plumber to call?

    The HOA does not have a preferred plumber, but many residents have recommended Ethan at ES Mechanical, who can be reached at (773) 307-6171.

  • Who is the handyman to call for small projects?

    The HOA does not have a preferred handyman, but many residents when asked on TownSq and Facebook have recommended Octavio at OMS Remodeling, who can be reached at (630) 615-9202.
