About University Village

University Village HOA (Homeowners Association) Is made up of 507 condos, townhomes and single family homes built on 26 acres in the city of Chicago in the backyard of University of Illinois. Located between Little Italy and Pilsen, the boundaries of this development are 90/94 (highway) to the east, Morgan Street to the west, Maxwell Street to the north & 15th Street to the south. 


The HOA features 31 sub associations that are comprised of condo buildings and townhomes with attached condos called Condo Type A.


The HOA has a master board which is made up of five owners from all types of owners and each of the 31 sub associations have their own boards.


The HOA features 256 condos, 207 townhomes and 44 single family homes.


Most of the development was built in the first two phases between 2002 to 2006.


Phase 1 was Halsted to Peoria Street, which features mainly condos and townhomes 


Phase 2 was Peoria west to Morgan and east of Halsted.


The last phase was completed in 2019 and featured three unique townhomes pods built on liberty, 15th Street and Halsted.


The development is dog friendly with a dog park and dog stations throughout. 


There are seven parks in the development and two recreation fields that are managed by UIC.


The parks include a Tot Lot (designed for children three months to five years old.)


Emerald Park, which is designed for children five years and up and features a full playground set and plenty of green space to relax in.


There are also several rose gardens with benches, and a fountain park as well to enjoy in the development.
